Corporate Team building and Blacksmithing is unique at Wildes Meadow, just outside Bowral
I love teaching people this ancient art, because the craft of Blacksmithing is as old as the human race. Why is it called the King of trades? Well, with out a Blacksmith you had no tools, or your machinery and tools repaired or in fact anything sharpened.
Artisan, Corporate Team Building Sessions…
Having worked in the corporate space for many years and being dished up the same old boring team building sessions, I was always looking for something fresh and new that bonded people and gave them purpose, well here is here it is:-
Artisan Team Building.
I run corporate team building sessions using the artisan crafts from Wildes Meadow in the Southern Highlands. So if you want something different re team building, look no further, as these guys did :-
They stayed at Peppers Manor House for their conference and The 1910 Ironworks was 15 minutes away, where they enjoyed a 3 hour, artisan breakout session forging and then a cleansing Ale at the infamous Burrawang Pub just 5 minutes away.
You’re never too old or young to try your hand at Blacksmithing. If you’d like to have a go and experience this amazing trade in a fascinating 1880s Blacksmith shop at Wildes Meadow, in the Southern Highlands, the 1910 Ironworks is the place to be – if you don’t believe me then listen to what my students have to say :-
What a fantastic day to be had at the forge with the 1910 Ironworks. Steve is a fantastic teacher of this ancient trade and very patient while I was learning the ropes. Highly recommended day out in a beautiful part of the world –
Greg Berrell – Wollongong.
“A very enjoyable day” Garry Studd – Carpenter and Cabinet maker / Bowral
“I had an amazing day and learnt so much” Dave Read / Carpenter / Robertson
…My 10 year old (Josiah) came to one of your workshops a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it! Still talks about all the things he’s going to make when he starts forging for real. Thanks for creating such a great experience for him.
Sara de Horne – Southern Highlands.
I had my first introduction to Blacksmithing with Steve, I highly recommend it to anyone. He is a fabulous, patient teacher, I learned heaps, and had fun doing it.
I will definitely be doing more Blacksmithing. Thanks again Steve for a fantastic day.

“Priced at only $250 inclusive of everything for the day and you also get lunch is just excellent value. You also get one on one tuition from an experienced, traditional Blacksmith, why such personal tuition? Because we always our keep classes small”
