This time of the year 1910 Beginners Blacksmithing Courses are very popular – but hurry with the cooler weather, social distancing and the interest in the Artisan crafts growing every day, these classes book out very quickly. One of the reasons the classes book out so fast is because we keep the classes small for one on one tuition  – We’re currently taking bookings for September/October 2022.

This is now our 6th year of Blacksmithing courses in Wildes Meadow and these Saturday courses are as popular as ever. You can, like so many others also book private one on one tuition with Steve too – POA.

Hopefully we’ll see you very soon at the 1910 Ironworks :-)) Just check out the course details below and read what past students had to say about the Blacksmith courses. Please scroll down. Cheers, Steve.

Here’s what my past students had to say about the 1910 Blacksmithing courses :-

As a 15 year old boy I had always wanted to try blacksmithing and got this class for Christmas. It somehow exceeded my crazy high expectations. Steve is an amazing teacher and i would recommend this class to everyone. Anton Leslie  – Southern Highlands

What a fantastic day to be had at the forge with the 1910 Ironworks. Steve is a fantastic teacher of this ancient trade and very patient while I was learning the ropes. Highly recommended day out in a beautiful part of the world –

Greg Berrell – Wollongong.

After more than 10 years away from blacksmithing as a hobby, I spent the day at 1910 Ironworks to get the basics back again. Steve was a great instructor, identifying and fixing a couple technique issues I was having and teaching new skills. If you want to learn traditional blacksmithing using hammer and anvil, this is the place. Rod Visman Mechanical Engineer Robertson

“A very enjoyable day” Garry Studd – Carpenter and Cabinet maker / Bowral

“I had an amazing day and learnt so much” Dave Read / Carpenter / Robertson

…My 10 year old (Josiah) came to one of your workshops a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it! Still talks about all the things he’s going to make when he starts forging for real. Thanks for creating such a great experience for him.

Sara de Horne – Southern Highlands.

“Priced at only $250 inclusive of everything for the day and you also get lunch is just excellent value. You also get one on one tuition from an experienced, traditional Blacksmith, why such personal tuition? Because we always our keep classes small”
