Bruce Pryor. Master Craftsman.
Bruce Pryor works with Stoneware & Porcelain clays utilising Gas & Wood Firing techniques, at his Studio in Bundanoon NSW. Working with Clay & Fire for over 45 years, Bruce has developed a strong Japanese influence in his work. To further enhance this aesthetic, he makes his own ‘Wild Clays’, using raw materials that he processes at his Studio.
He established & worked at ‘The Martinsville Pottery ‘, from 1972 & then established ‘The Bundanoon Pottery’, from 1988. During this time, he has held numerous solo & group exhibitions & exhibited overseas. He is represented in Regional Galleries & in many Private collections, here & abroad & also inAustralian & New Zealand Museum collections.
Bruce is one of Australia’s most instructive Throwing Teacher’s & offers Introductory Master Classes in throwing, to people, regardless of skill or age. From 6 year olds to grandparents, Bruce has the ability to draw out the creative soul of anyone, on the wheel.
