PRICING – VINTAGE STOVES, RESTORATIONS & HAND FORGED IRONWOR
Everything we do at 1910 is meticulously done. No corners cut, no cheap or second rate options contemplated, no shortcuts. The restoration process at 1910 is painstakingly thorough, as is our hand forged ironwork.
We’re not the cheapest either, as all the projects costed for clients reflect the work required to maintain the highest possible quality.

Above – This stove came to us a complete basket case and left the workshop as a fully fuctioning good as brand new 1890s cast iron range…
All restored pieces are stripped down, blasted, needle gunned or repaired where possible, new castings made if required and stainless steel fastenings are always used in re assembly. No near enough modern Philips heads screws or bolts – but traditional slotted bolts and screws indentical to the originals.
For example, our vintage stove restorations, range from $2,500 for a basic cast vintage pot belly restoration, up to $12,500 for a re enamelled, and re nickel plated cast double oven vintage AGA or Rayburn 40. All sheet work is in mild steel and the new ovens and flues are in 316 marine grade, food safe stainless steel.
The restoration process can also include new pattern making and castings of rare and difficult parts to procure in brass or cast iron. Or there may also be a need for new electroplating, vitreous enamel work or replacing the damaged original decals on the oven doors. Once again, we are the only people left that can do this.

Above – Attention to detail is paramont when restoring anything, such as the new decal on the oven door to match the original, specialised air brushed enamel work to match the exisitng stove and new polished nickel plated Metters spring handles.
We are in fact the last facility in the country that still re enamels vintage pieces for clients, particularly stoves and cookware.
Prices range from $1,800 for full face and parts of a small vintage stove, such as a Bega No2 to $3,800 to a full face, hob and flue for a vintage Rayburn or AGA.
Needless to say, all our restorations are showroom, museum quality when finished for delivery or pick up, from our new workshops in Lockhart NSW.

We specialise in hands forged bespoke ironwork.
Hand forged iron work and design is another facility we offer from our 1880s blacksmith shop in the Southern Highlands – such as bespoke gates, unusual fire sets, garden tools, outdoor furniture or sculptural work. Our hand forged gates range from $4,500 to $25,000 for a full set of substantial hand forged entry gates, and bespoke fire sets start at $550.
We also restore…
We also restore vintage gates , period iron work, tools, vintage oil lamps, vintage machinery and horse drawn vehicles.

But please be aware WE DO NOT do small repairs, call outs or half fix things, we only do full vintage restorations or new pieces of bespoke ironwork, cast iron or brass work.
If we sound like the people you have been looking for, and the prices are within your budget, we look forward to hearing from you!
