I specialise in vintage stove restorations and have been doing so for our clients for over 15 years! We now also offer customisation of our or your stove, from traditional re enamelling from the last enamelling shop in the country to recasting a piece of your stove that is impossible to find. If you want new nickel work done, such as knobs or door surrounds we can organise that too, along with supplying the original Metters Bakelite Handles from the 1920s and 30s.

At 1910 we always have over 20 stoves in restoration or as found in original condition, please ask for our list of available stock of single and double oven stoves. With all our restorations I am extremely particular as to the quality of my work – the job has to be so flawless that you will think that your stove is brand new!

We also restore the vintage French Gondin stoves and can supply the oval and round brick sets for these stoves along with other hard to get parts.

Restored Metters Bega with new nickel plated handles, new green speckled enamel, black hob and replaced and restored flue collar.
This Fletcher & Son – Younger No. 3 was a total rebuild and needed a new ashtray front and legs. The legs were a cast pattern taken off the originals and the lemon squeezer brass handle was also recast from an original knob from the correct era. Hey, the devil is indeed in the detail.
This Fletcher & Son No. 7 W front was a bit of a mess. But after the removal of layers of rust and soot – voila!!!
This 50-year-old Massport pot belly (cast in NZ) was totally rebuilt from two originals…

This splatter work re-enameling on this 1930s BEGA No.3 was a copy of the original – the wire handles were also restored…
The original Metters chrome handles in most cases can be re-plated and restored….

We don’t see many of these with the original step – and the castings on this oven were so crisp!! New recast knobs too!

We even restore the original temperature gauges on the vintage Rayburns and AGAs….in fact, 1910 is a recommended restorer by Rayburn/AGA Australia.

A coal-fired No.3 Younger and quite an early one too – this was missing an original ashtray front and thumb screw damper…

This 1880s Andrews was rebuilt from the ground up, with all new nickel plating, tin work and 316 food safe stainless steel ovens.

These Rayburn 40s are rare double ovens – this one was found in a paddock – where it had sat for over 40 years. It was of historical value to the national estate. So, we totally restored it from the ground for the State Government of NSW.
We go to a lot of trouble installing 316 – FOOD SAFE stainless steel ovens to ALL our vintage wood stoves – These are now insisted on by NSW Health.

This vintage Metters fire insert was totally restored and re-enameled in a speckled black and cream as per the 1920s original.

The devil is in the detail, we can reproduce all the original decals on all the old ovens. The new nickel plating is pretty cool too!
This double IXL was a beauty and a total rebuild with new Bakelite knobs as per the originals and new forged damper handles…
This was one of our last Kookaburra gas restorations – unfortunately, due to new rules and regulations we can no longer restore these grand old ladies.

A nice double oven N o. 7 Younger nears completion – complete with a new bow-fronted Fletcher & Son ashtray – We now re-cast these knobs too for Youngers!
