With the ongoing interest in restoring the past, we’ve never been busier, with about 6-8 restoration projects going on at any one time. We also design and produce some of the most beautiful, traditional hand forged ironwork in the country… I personally love the Art Deco and Art Nouveau period in ironwork and fine art, and this is certainly reflected in my work. Even the contemporary pieces we produce for clients have a touch of that 1910 magic!

We also tend to use all the traditional tools and techniques used of the past 5,000 years, as it’s an ancient profession that has changed little of the millennium. At 1910 we’re passionate about what we do and we work closely with all our clients to make sure the end product is exceptional. With a degree in fine arts, graphic design and many years of film art direction, the knowledge of the world I work in is extensive. Now in my 70s I tend to take more time to craft the pieces I work on and I only except certain commissions these days. It’s not because I’m arrogant, just very selective of the commissions and pieces work on, given my 50 years years as an artist and artisan.
