1910 now offers a much wider range of artisan ironwork and vintage restoration…

‘We can now offer clients a much bigger, bespoke range of ironwork in the ACT, the Southern highlands the South Coast and Sydney’ Says Steve Hogwood, founder of the 1910 brand.

Teaching wise we’re also now offering a wider range of beginner blacksmithing courses in the Southern Highlands on a regular basis all year round. The 1910 shop will soon be running knife making classes and power-hammer course too!

With our far bigger fabrication workshop (and another extension under way) in the Southern Highlands we can now tackle any commission, no matter how big or involved. 1910 has a substantial blacksmithing shop, spot welding facilities, a power hammer, a large press and bending press, stick, TIG, and MIG welding, punching and shearing facilities for fabrication and vintage restoration – something we now specialise in.

In fact – we restore everything from, vintage fuel stoves to antique farm machinery, garden tools, and wheelbarrows, door and window furniture, gates, balustrades, wrought iron repairs, old machinery, and cast lace repair and or replacement. As Steve says – “If it’s vintage, heritage and metal-based, we can usually restore it.”
