1910 now offers a wider range of bespoke ironwork…

1910 Ironworks now offers a wider range of bespoke ironwork after joining forces with fellow blacksmith Elliott Franklin-Brown of The Rutledge St Forge.

‘We can now offer clients a much bigger, bespoke range of ironwork in the ACT, the Southern highlands and Sydney’ Says Steve Hogwood, founder of the 1910 brand.

Teaching wise we’re also now offering beginner blacksmithing courses in the ACT and the Southern Highlands on a regular basis all year round.

With our bigger fabrication workshop in Canberra we can tackle any commission, no matter how big or involved. 1910 now has two power hammers, a spring hammer, large press and bending, punching and shearing facilities for fabrication and vintage restoration – something we specialise in.

IIn fact – we restore everything from, vintage fuel stoves to antique farm machinery, garden tools, and wheelbarrows, door and window furniture, gates, balustrades, wrought iron repairs, old machinery, and cast lace repair and or replacement. As Steve says – “If it’s vintage, heritage and metal-based, we can usually restore it.”
